After nine months she called him to say she was delivered of a baby boy. The excited husband, Gbenga Adebayo, rushed down to see the baby. However, things started to look suspicious when he demanded for the placenta and she could not provide it.
Iliyasu said, “When the husband asked her to breastfeed the baby in his presence, she was unable to do so.”
Bunmi fled the residence with the baby once she realized the husband was suspicious. This prompted Gbenga to report the matter to the police.

Bunmi, who claimed to be a hairdresser, said, “I am 26 years old and I have been married to my husband for 10 years, but I have yet to have any child. I stole the baby out of desperation to have a child. I wouldn’t have harmed him.”
The baby was returned to his parents, Eniola and Peter Oluwaseun who were all too happy to have their baby back.
