Last Saturday the famous Indian film actress died of a heart attack in Dubai, where she came to the wedding of her nephew. The cinema legend drowned in the bath. Alcohol was found in the woman's blood. It is noted that the actress lost consciousness and then choked. Sridevi age was 54 years.
The funeral of the actress Shree Amma Yanger Ayyapan, known as Sridevi Kapoor, was held in Mumbai. Tens of thousands of fans came to say the last farewell. Because of them, the authorities had to block the streets. Also, a lot of celebrities in Indian cinema were present at this sad event.
The body of the actress was taken from Dubai by a private jet of Indian businessman Anil Ambani.
"I do not know how long I'll have to wait, but I'll wait until the last. I watched all of her films. I admired her, I will not go anywhere until I express my respect for her." One of her devoted fan told journalists.
The body of the actress was in a glass coffin before the crematorium. Everything around her was decorated with flowers.
Sridevi was born on August 13, 1963, in Sivakasi, Madras State, India. Her native language is Tamil. Her father died when she starred in the movie Lamhe. The mother passed when Sridevi worked in the film Judaai. She has a sister and two half-brothers from the previous marriage of her father. Her cousins are also actors.
Sridevi was famous for her beauty. Until the last days of life, this lady was charming, attractive and had many admirers. In youth, she often received offers from men. But the actress gave her heart to the film producer Boney Kapoor. The marriage was concluded on 2 June 1996. The couple had two daughters born in 1997 and 2000.
This lady started acting from 4 years. Sridevi left the industry in 1997 to devote her time to her family but in 1999 returned and acted films for 12 more years.

"Once, on a fateful day, strangers came to us and invited me to appear in the film. My father was angry and drove them out. But they came again the next day and persuaded my mother to force dad to change his mind. My mother had big ambitions on my account. And she achieved her goal. The next day I appeared on the set. My first movie was filmed in the temple. I played the Lord Murugan. Just before shooting, the director began to insist that I should shave my head. Mother refused: "My child should go to school!" she sobbed. There were long discussions. Then I was invited to wear a wig. It looked funny. Nevertheless, I sincerely enjoyed everything in the movie atmosphere."
Sridevi started her childhood career in the Tamil film Kandhan Karunai. By early adolescence, she has already played in many films in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi. Many of her movies of those years were directed by I.V. Sasi, one of the leading film directors in Malayalam.
In 1976, she received her first major role in the film Moondru Mudichu with Kamal Hasan and Rajnikant. Subsequently, Sridevi appeared in several other films with the same actors.
With Hasan, she starred in more than 30 films, including 16 Vayathinile (1977), Sigappu Rojakkal (1978), Manitharil Ithanai Nirangala (1978), Chakkaipodu Podu Raja (1978), Thaayillamal Naanillai (1979), Neela Malargal (1979), Sigapukal Mookuthi (1979), Kalyana Raman (1979), Guru (1980), Varumaiyin Niram Sigappu (1980), Sankarlal(1981), Meendum Kokila (1981), Aakali Rajyam (1981), Vazhve Mayam 1(982), Moondram Pirai (1982), Andhagaadu (1982), Sadma (1983) - the role in this film brought the actress her first nomination for Filmfare Award for Best Actress, Oka Radha Idhdharu Krishnulu (1986).
With Rajnikant she starred in the films Priya, Dharmayuddham, Pokkiri Raja, Thanikattu Raja, Adutha Varisu, Nan Adimai Illai.
Sridevi took part in Telugu films. With NT Rama Rao she starred in such movies as Konda Veeti Simham, Vetagadu, Sardar Paparayudu и Bobbili Puli, with A. Nageswara Rao - in Mudulla Koduku, Premabhishekham, Bangaru Kanku, Premakanuka, with Krishna - in such films as Kanchu Kagada, Kalavari Samsaram, Krishnavatharam, Burripalem Bolludu и Khaidi Rudrayya.
Towards the end of her career in Telugu cinema, Sridevi began to play in Hindi films (the industry which is known around the world as Bollywood). In many of these films, Jeetendra played the main role and these were remakes of Telugu films. Sridevi's first major role in the Hindi film Solva Saawan was in 1978. Her second film was Himmatwala with Jeetendra.
In 1988, in film ChaalBaaz she played 2 roles of twin sisters for which she received her first Filmfare Award for Best Actress. In the same year, Sridevi was nominated for her role in the film Chandni by Yash Chopra.
In the 80-90's, she starred in many films with Anil Kapoor. In 1992, the Khuda Gawah was created with Amitabh Bachchan. In the same year, a Telugu film Kshana Kshanam brought Sridevi another prize from Filmfare magazine and the Nandi Award.
Then she played the role of the innocent victim of deception arrested in Hong Kong for drug smuggling in film Gumrah and a negative role in the film Laadla. For her work in the drama Judaai (1997) Sridevi received another Filmfare nomination and then left the film industry after marrying producer Boney Kapoor.
Six years after, Sridevi temporarily returned to the small screen in the sitcom Malini Iyer (2004-2005) - a funny story about a girl from the South India who married, moved to Punjab and tries to adapt to local customs without forgetting her traditions.
She also was a member of the Asian Academy of Film and Television board of directors.
In 2012, the film English Vinglish was released, which became her official return to the screens and had commercial success. Critics appreciated Sridevi's acting as well as returning after a long break. In 2017, she appeared in the film of her own production Mom, which became her 300th movie in a 50-year career. This work received a positive evaluation of critics.
